help needed with k04

hello everyone right iv recently had a k04 turbo conversion in my ibiza with big injectors and so say uprated maf i had it all done at grant motorsport in bristol and in all fairness i dont think he knows what hes doing the problem is it keeps going on to limp mode with no boost at all on my gauge it says it sticks on 5psi and every so often mostly when its cold itl boost fine but go rite round my gauge past 20psi then hit limp mode again hes taken it to superchips and on there rolling road he said it had irregular boost i would have let him carry on to fix it but he had my car 12weeks so i just got the car back and thought fxxk it il take it sumwhere else cos he was realy taking the pxxs just wondering if with my brief description of whats wrong anyone would have a clue whats wrong with it superchips have said they will deal with me direct if i can get all the boost set back to a standard setting but grant reckons it cant be done but whether thats ballsxxt or not i dont know so if have any ideas i will be well chuffed cheers......tom

The boost "should" be controlled by the ecu... so Superchips (if) they chipped it physically or by flashing the software down the port, should have control and thereby it is adjustable...
Unfortunately, GMS did your install, so there's no way of presuming its actually been done right or properly. Best advise is get it checked out elsewhere by someone with a clue, and hope Superchips can rectify the problem. (hoping its not a GMS induced problem for your sake)

He has next to no clue about turbo motors' or running a business at all.
(I have successfull CCJ against this c0ck for moneys owed for services I provided him... ECU remap ironically on a Golf) - He is a Total Disaster to deal with.... AVOID AT ALL COSTS ALL YE WHO READ THIS

Check the sills of your car for spur marks!

Hope you can get it sorted mate, i'm sure Bill would be able to correct the mess, or atleast give you a few pointers, (other than staying away from GM)

thats where i made the mistake i didnt where a dress i wore a leotard sxxt no wonder he done a sxxt job!!! im trying to find localish places to take it to get it sorted well iv paid 1700quid so far and with that he fitted turbo pipework etc new airfilter and pipework an mot which it failed on niggily bits like abs sensor and windscreen wiper ,fitted coilovers , supplied and fitted a uprated clutch and bigger injectors and s3 maf but i still owe him some money but he got more chance of sprouting a fanny then getting that!! any more advice would be briiliant sound....
