oh really might be worth looking into mate cheers, i read somewhere that coilpacks can cause overboost but even with my limited knowledge i cant fathem how thats possible if anyone can tell me otherwise?

Basically if your coilpacks are gone they can cause your car to run crap so that could be by over boosting and or not boosting. Number 4 on mine threw up a code but all 4 were gone. My problem was sounding like a scooby on tickover (number 1 plug) flooring it and getting no boost yet when sat in nuetrel would rev smooth, also under load would splutter then all of sudden take off. The rate your changing stuff you might aswell go for the coil packs.

They don't always throw a code up coil packs
Have u had a smoke test done on it just in case
There is a leak when mine was playing up
It would pop and bang under load I took it
Into badger 5 for a smoke test and bingo a
Big hole in my intercooler.also it could be turbo
What's ur requested boost and actual boost saying

having an air pressure test done on saturday, so hopefully that will show up any leaks, doubt it would be a hole in my intercooler cos it still has plenty of power. Dont know how to find out what my requested/actual boost is? There is so many poss causes for the fault codes, i dont have any lights come on, it doesnt go into limp mode and there seems to be plenty of power? I'll ask a mate to try his coilpacks to see if it makes a diffrence. I am concerned the turbo might be fooked but im getting no smoke and the fact this noise developed at the same time as the running probs im hoping its not the turbo.

Been meaning to write this up as i have been extremely lucky. Basically got to the root of my problem, i noticed there was a groove mark on my brake master cyclinder on closer inspection the front engine mount bracket had completly sheared off and the engine had been rocking backwards under load and hitting the brake master cylinder which had punched a hole in the cam cover. The supercharged wurring noise was in fact the cambelt being rubbed away! I pulled out shards of cambelt over 2 foot long wrapped around the cam pulley and tensioners, half the belt was warn away! The vibration i felt in the pedal was the cam pulley teeth hitting the brake master cylinder! I replaced the cambelt and engine mount bracket and its now noise and vibration free, nothing wrong with the turbo! How lucky am I?

Holy!!! Mate your lucky plenty cars come into work with your trouble stripped timing belt and it's nearly always bad news for them!! Lol some one must have been watching over you lol!!!
