hi all, this maybe a silly question but has anyone lost any power after having a jetex cone filter, havent put the standard air filter back on to see if theres any difference, just wanted to see what peoples thoughts are, got a stage 1 revo map forge dv 007 and the jetex filter and only got 180 bhp :( been told the turbo could be tired but my mileage is only 46k???
any help would be great
thanks

dont think there is any thing wrong with the turbo, mines done 53k rang sweet as anut till changed it for a k03s, have you tried unplugging the air flow meter could that which is failing

the air flow meter is like 3 months old, but did have a new one put on for the dyno to see if theres any difference and got like 5 bhp which took it to 180

also got told that my turbo takes a while to get fired up????? which pointed the finger at my turbo saying its tired

k03s = more power

i fitted mine 2 weeks ago on standard map all ready can tell the difference then puts the car in limp mode so i have to drive off the boost as much as i can, lucky that the car gets mapped on friday stage 2 custom code here we go

sorry could someone explain vag com and what it does please? when i had it put on the dyno i asked the person to make sure that the running of the cars fine thats it

cool! hope it all goes well for you chris, and do you ever get off cupra.net haha your always answering my questions, thanks for your time :)

what power gains do you get from a ko3 to ko3s? sorry about all the questions!

With the right supporting mods you can expect to see max figures of around 240bhp

Vag-Com is a software you can use to diagnose faults, any good VW/Audi specialist will have a form of it.

Where did you take the car to as it could be a case of dyno lottery :ban:

badger 5 but i dont think he was too sure whats wrong, but had loads to do that weekend and prob wanted to get it out the way by saying turbos tired

Bill is usually spot on with his dyno and knows his stuff about turbos so it may well be tired..46k may not seem like a lot of miles but it can take its toll non the less.

I would advise booking it in with him if you are local and getting him to do a full diagnostics check on the car along with road testing to see if there are any underlying issues which could also cause the low power
