Hi before i get my head bit of :( lol ive done searches and think i know what it is but would like a bit of expertise input.
Ive got the dreaded water leak in the rear passenger footwells. The front are bone dry so im guessing its the door seals need doing. Ive bought all the stuff off ebay ready to do the job. Now when i was reading last night ive also come across that the pollen filter could leak. My car was serviced just before i bought the car a couple of weeks ago so this got me thinking.
But would the front footwells be soaking if it was the pollen filter? Lol thats my question, please be gentle. :banghead2

Do you park on a slope? If so the water could be running towards the back..

no mate totally flat. My windows had alot of condensation yesterday and was ringing wet when i wiped it so checked front floor wells, they were dry so checked the back and they were dry in the middle but soaked on the edge by the seat rails where the right foot goes passenger rear if that makes sense?

Pull the plastic trims up and feel down the side of the carpet, my carpet is bone dry but the underlay stuff is soaking wet.

They're both a very easy job to do so if you've no idea if they've been done before you're best off having a go at doing them both.

Is the pollen filter located in the engine bay on the passenger side under plastic trim? Didnt really look to much into it when searching because it was getting abit to late last night. Cheers

Also what is the best way of checking that the pollen filter area is leaking and best way to sort it? Im going to do all 4 doors and will look at the pollen filter aswell to be sure. Thanks dan

My front passenger door was pissing water in, did it on the weekend and all good so far! Damn butyl tape was a utter annoyance and wouldnt stick into the groove so went nuts with a little bit of sealant and tape combo! It's sealed up for good lol

I've not done mine, and I've no idea if it's leaking but I'm gonna do it anyway and give the car a proper drying out once it gets warmer, so if you find a guide/tutorial let me know :)

Ok mate i had a quick look last night with no joy. But ill keep searching :)
