I read about a guy on here i think was in the netherlands that had his MAF coded out of the ECU so he could use a BOV.

Would be interesting to find out how he got that done cos thers quite alot of us that wants the big whooosy noise

When you say on 1.8t's do you mean SEATs? Or just VW & Audi's?

I know quite a few MKIV's use BOV's but ive not known anyone with an Ibiza to use one succesfully

You can still get the loud noise from the MAF set up. My girlfriend runs the 007 forge valve with a cold side relocation and its proper loud, you wouldnt think its a recirc

Why not just buy a BOV for your car and keep your current one? That way any issues just swap round? You can keep us posted?

I had a forge twin piston bov on my car for a while (not the split r)and it didnt throw up any fault codes. I just changed it over as many people said they dont do the car any good.

yea i know a few peoplw with ibizas that run the dv26 twin piston n had no problems at all..........i think as long as it is twin piston so it dont leak you should be ok..........

20vt cupra....what did it sound like and where did you have it plumed in

of the charge pipi

teed in off the inlet manifold or just in the tip which i dont think works plumed in there

Hello just a few points firstly in our tests this type of valve will not work correctly in the long term , and secondly theres absolutly no way thats a HKS valve at that price , it is 100% a chinese copy , even sold in an HKS box , Ive seen them ...and the internal quality is shite .....you pay peanuts you get money ....****

It sounded good but it wasnt anything fantastic when under boost but it didnt have no mods what so ever. So with a remap the boost pressure is higher so im guessing the noise would be a bit more impressive. Mine was plumbed into the tip so that could be why the sound wasnt very loud

I tried the bailey dv26 off my punto turbo on the cupra and it sounded ****. It hardly made any noise what so ever. My 007p was louder.

it has been gone over 100s of times , its no good for the engine , it will eventually throw up a fault code. it isnt worth the hassle for a little more sound , get a japanese car or cosworth if you want the whooshy sound

there must be a way round this

i would get a split r but i herd they sound ****

The only way around it is to employ stand alone management to do away with the MAF. Which would be a rather expensive and rather stupid thing to do just to get a wooshy noise. Have you ever owned a car with an atmospheric DV? The sound gets boring in about 10mins flat.

get split r and do the cold side relocation for xtra whooshy whooshy, or just buy a BOV and hope that it works.

Id stick with what I know works on the car
