Forget BOV's, spend your money on an induction kit, you'll get some induction and dump valve noise without any problems. BOV's are annoying and reduce turbo response compared to a re-circ., the Split-R isn't very loud either IMO.

Last time I heard someone driving by with a BOV going off a guy walking near me said 'to55er' to himself!
 
indution kits are shite ive had ram air ,dynatwist, cai, they just cause nothing but problems in the end i had a long chat with jabba on sat morning and trust me they ant worth it im now going down the smoothed std air box rute,in my time of owning two mk3 cupra over 3 yrs now i have had 4 MAFS, std box all the way,down side is you lose the dv sound, which is why im after changeing something
 
I'd start looking at other causes for your problems tbh. You need to make sure your induction kit isnt bolted down to tight as vibrations can kill the MAF, or maybe your venting oil over the MAF through the DV. Many peple have induction kits without any problems.
 
Also you say you've been through 4 MAF's?

Sometimes my MAF may go funny, I unplug it, plug it back in and the power is back. Did you try doing that with your MAF sensors or just get a new one?

Sometimes when the MAF seems dead it can be bought back to life

Thats very odd on the basis that Jabba sell the worlds most expensive JR / Jetex filter with a metal shield.
 
I'm on my third MAF in 50k+ of mileag with a CAI, one of those was repaced when i had the car so 2 in 50k aint bad.

I dont think its the induction kits at all. Its the fact far more air than standard is flowing through them because of remapping along with the fact that the wiring on ibizas are shocking!
 
let just say someone at jabba told me they can/do suck in a lil bit more than air. tiny bits of grit/dust wich get past the cone filter,

this also messis up the dv ,the grit gets stuck round the piston inside the dump valve,ect ect

they have found on some cars with super chargers the vr6 for one, the cone filter fooked the charger, this is due to tiny bits of grit/dust that escape past the filter (jabbas words)

been thinking bout the hole filter thing thimk i might just shorten my CAI so it sit right at the top of the wing only just outside the engine bay, not quite so prone to alot of dust and shite there,

That's what i'm gonna do mate, saw the ******* in half [:@] then i'll be able to fit it in!
