hey people im 20 and have just bought my 8th car lol....and i never thought id say this but its a derv.... '54 plate ibiza fr130....18k on the clock. was planning spending appx 10k with savings and got it through work for 7k...so some spare cash for modding..imo thats cheeeep cheeep lol. ive had it 6 weeks now and after exhaust ( miltek ), induction kit,skoda downpipe, FMIC, custom aliminium turbo pipes and star performance remap shes hitting appx 180bhp....290ft lbs of torque.....i love the car and the noise and of course the torque...got me some 17's, coilovers, tints, brakes and stereo this week as ive been on holiday...but what next, got around another 1.5k to spend...should i go power or looks?

the only other thing i can think that needs doing from the photos is getting the continental rear light to remove the reverse so you have matched rear lights, looks nicer. A few 130 Sport owners have done that in the past.

no theyre not show plates lol theyre on it all the time....was stopped by thetraffic cops last friday THE 13th and they totally ignored my tints and plates and jus checked the tyres and asked me to hand in insurance documents....we dont get alot of bother up in the North east of scotland really...as long as were keeping outa trouble thy seem happy enuf

Got a very similiar car coming to me a week tomorrow! Counting down the days now. First modification is going to be debadging the rear, then rebadging with just the FR badge in the corner.

That's what the previous owner did with mine. Looks good, IMHO. I wonder what else he did...

With that 1.5k you have left you could have a road trip down to Allards and get an uprated turbo and remap and that will take it to about 230 bhp. Failing that you could eithre get some brembo's or the tt 312mm front brakes and they're about £240 off ebay. They're a massive improvement over the shitty standard ones. What brakes did you buy? ive just re read your post.
Or like somone else said you should really get an uprated clutch or possible a quaife atb diff. Jbs have an all in price including fitting of £1200 and imho they are well worth it after stoneyford took me out for a spin in his.
Any way welcome to the site, car looks good and their is my options for you to spend your money on.

well i do all work myself as im a mechanic, me and my mates have access to a r-r at any time after 8pm so its good for the odd practice run.....going tonight so ill get some printoffs t show u guys. we now hav all software for remaps etc but id still rahter hav it done by the experts......the clutch etc is gonna be done shortly, any good suggestions for suppliers, ill fit it myself,,,,,uprated turbo sounds good, or a possible hybrid???200+ will keep me smiling....it has to if 180 still does, im loving it. cheer s for ur comments guys n gals

one of my mates has 1.8t mk4 golf got 310bhp last weekend and even he loves to drive my car..i may turn him to the darkside yet..
