Hi new to the forum hopefully someone can help. I bought a 71 plate Formentor late last year and was happy with it. However over last few weeks alarm has been coming on at night for no obvious reason culminating in me having to call the AA out Thursday night as just wouldn’t go off. They could not fix it but disconnected the battery do at least the kids can sleep! I contacted local Cupra dealer in Bromley South East London as mechanic said best thing to do as could be software or internal monitor problem. However they can not deal with any diagnostic problems till July!! Does anyone know of a good independent diagnostics garage with Cupra experience in South East London they can recommend? Many thanks

Where's your next nearest Authorised Cupra dealership? Maybe try them.

If the AA Tech disconnected the battery to get the alarm to stop, what's happened to the car from there?

Disconnect the alarm?

As to cause; is there a possibility that there's a window open just ever so slightly that will allow a stiff breeze to change the internal air pressure and set the alarm off? Just an oblique thought.

Regarding the Bromley dealership not being able to accept any diagnostic work until July? That's outrageous.

Surely any Authorised dealership has to meet, accept and keep to a certain degree of Service Level Requirements. Three months wait can't be one of them.

With a decaying dealer network and huge staff shortages across the whole industry, long wait times are becoming the norm.
Booking diaries fill up fast and unfortunately people have to wait their turn, just like at the doctors 🤷‍♂️

Russell automotive centre near Wembley might be able to help?

Thanks for the responses, the z Bromley branch is my nearest dealership. Really can’t be without the car for 3 months so looking for alternatives. Tried the Cupra UK Customer Service HQ but obviously don’t work weekends so hopefully they can help.
