Hid headlight out

Hey I have got hids on my lcr and one of them has stopped working. I have done the obvious and changed the bulb and it's not that. Been looking at ballasts but not sure what one t get as they all have different volts and watts. Howdo I fnd outwhich ones I need?

Chances are yours are 35w, they only do 35w or 55w.Should say on the ballast some where.

35w are the only legal ones in the uk AFAIK, should say on the ballast. I had one of mine fail, that was a 35w......

WhY about volts I have seen 12v and 24v ones?

Sorry meant what about 12v or 24v. Seen them on eBay and some of them are 12v and some are 24v

I can't get my head around the 24v though, maybe it will work on 24v?

Lorry's are 24v iirc maybe that's what they mean?

Search ebay mate sell ballasts and bulbs separately, but tbh the ballast be around £15- £20 on it's own and a new kit is £40 ish.

some new big cars (s class, a8, 7 series) i think use 24v batteries, but obviously you only need a 12v. if you had a 24v kit im fairly certain they wouldn't fire up.
