HID kit

i have tried searching but not much info on the matter

going to buy a HID kit off a member on another site. do i need a canbus kit for a 04 LCR??

what wattage is better for the leon, 35w or 55w??

55w is brighter than 35w go for 55w, been said on here before it's ok to use in standard Leon lights.

i recommend the 35w kit,the 55w reqires you to run a larger fuse in the circuit

Sorry to kinda hijack, but Lee, what's the best HID kit out there at the moment? I've been searching the bay etc and getting a bit confuzzled with all the variants

Car is an 05 LCR. Links etc welcome! Just want to get one to aim for as I've got the coilovers decided on now

I have bought both mine of ebay with no problems, diane shop is one to stay away from i read on here and other sites.

I am of the opinion they are all made on the same production line just different boxes/stickers at the end
hids4u get good feedback but compared to others they are dear.

I had a set from Dianeshop on my 206. Never had any issues with them. What problems have others experienced? I was going to get my next set from them, but if they cause problems with the Leon then I'll look elsewhere.

id buy a set from a uk seller, easier to send back if something goes wrong

a mate bought a set from diane-shop. ballast become faulty so sent it back, never to be seen again. may/may not happen to you is it worth the risk?

only a few pounds difference if any, i normally get the normal ballast hid kits for £39 from a uk seller, slim ballast kits £59

I found these to be excellent quality with added bonus of mini ballasts too. I got mine with a best offer of £60, uk seller and great communication....
