Today George (my mate with the Cooper s) and myself fitted a HID 8000 Xenon kit to my Leon. He had already carried this mod out on his BMW 3 Series and Corsa C.

Install went pretty smoothly apart from trying to find places to mount the ballasts. We ended up cable tying one to the outside of the washer tank and mounted the other using the bracket supplied to the plastic battery box that had a convinent hole. Will get some pitch black photos and engine bay photos... these are what I have atm:

They are amazing for the price, when fitting them just be carefull not to touch the bulb!which you prob no anyway!I will get some pics tomorrow to show you where i have mounted the ballasts! its the only place they can realy go!!make sure that the ballasts are nice and secure!because if there not then it will cause the lights to flicker!!

I thought 10k ones where illegal ? could be wrong. The max i would go up too is 8k.Buying some 6k or 8k ones for mine next year probably 6k tho.

sounds good, was expecting something like 300 spoons or something,

so overall then are these kits good? im guessing they make a big differance from standard??

Not a fan of the 10K's, I have enough reasons for a pull and that seems an easy target to make yourself :)
