I've got 8k's in too, been in for 4 months now and i've only been flashed at 4 times (one of those by a police car :cartman: )

Haven't been flashed in a few months now though. I think the only thing you can do is check your alignment mate, mine are a little out but i'm due to get it sorted soon. Let us know how you get on. :)

because of the different lengths of the HID bulbs over standard halogens, once you change halogens for HIDs the beam alignment will be too high.

I've got an HID kit in my Octavia, and needed to have the beams aligned as soon as the kit was installed, as they shine too high.

That's your problem.

And as Lee says, 8k are far too blue, and will attract too much attention from the police. End of the day, HID kits are not road legal, and lights that are obviously too blue is just advertising you have an HID kit fitted. You're basically saying to the police -- "Look at my nice blue illegal lights and pull me" I'm not having an argument about the legality -- as I've said I'm running HIDs myself, all be it in a car with projector lights.

The best light output from HID bulbs will be got from 4300k -- these give a much whiter light.

Ive got 8000's on my Leon an never been flashed. I actually had to adjust them up a bit cause they were pointing down to far down. We all get blinded by those projection lights on new cars so I wouldn't worry about it.

Your not one of these people that drive around in daylight with them on are you?

My Octavia has headlights on all the time as day running lights, and I've never been flashed before or after the HID kit was installed
