hid's are these worth the cash

I've just fitted these thanks to this thread and the guide. A bit fiddly but all done in an hour. Just waiting for it do be dark now so I can go for a blast I placed the drivers side one as shown in the guide, but I found a good place in the passenger side - it fits really neatly in a space inside the plastic bit you have to remove to get access to the light. A couple of screws securing it to the plastic and job done, completely hidden.

Wow those HIDs look so cool in the dark and so many cars have them where i live. After reading these posts and looking at how good they look i have gone and ordered some from mydepots.com. Cant belive they are only 68 squid delivered. Thanks guys for these posts its about time i spend some cash on these blinding lights!

WOW my door bell woke me at 7am today it were the HIDs they have arrived! now that is quick as i ordered them online on the 22nd at midnight. My uk items from ebay never come this quickly and the HIDs come from China i believe. Cant wait to fit em.

6k wont give you purple but will give you a really nice white/blue which i have and would recommend.

To start getting a purple you'd need 8k probably but i'd go with 6k if i was you

DITTO above. Anything above 6000k is too blue and the amount of usable light drops. Plus the Police don't take too kindly to it either.

6000k is the highest I'd recommend as it gives a lot of usable light, which is the whole point of this, as well as a nice blue tint.

I've only had the car for a couple of months or so, and the MOD list is getting out of control I have promised myself - no more!!!

Everytime the Mrs gets in i have to convince her it was there when i bought the car

Have one quick question however. Is the HID held securly in place via the rubber gommit thingy (hence the need to get the hole right)..

no not really, the hole is for the wires to be secure and not get damp thru them...

the lamp is held in place by the normal clip that holds the other bulbs in!
