tonight asked about condensation in headlights, only to find out that its the hid kits grommet thats loose on the headlight backing plate thats causing condensation , will need to silicon the 2 together to seal it, has anyone else had this problem
I also suspect that because there is less heat from the HID bulbs when they're working, they don't clear the existing problem with leaky headlights that steam up anyway.
just wondering if anyone else has had problems with headlights steaming up after installing their HID's. My LCR headlamps were replaced by the dealer when I bought the car and I fitted HID's about a month after. I noticed tonight (probably down to the colder weather) that the inside had started to steam up. I'm wondering that because the HID grommet is not tight on, if its letting moisture in.
I have this also as soon as i fitted my HID'S.Make sure it is dry in there, the covers are on properly and seal up around the grommet if needs be, i did and it made a difference.
i siliconed mine as soon as i fitted the hids no probs from mine
didnt i see something form the tt boys they were drilling small holes behing the light to help , but suppose thats the same as not sealing your gromit ??
