A couple of weeks ago I had the MIL light come on, checked with VAG-COM and got this.
Did a search on 17544 and found out about the breather pipe. When I removed the engine cover this pipe was split so I replaced it but this did not cure my problems.
I did another VAG-COM check and got this.
After this I checked searched on the new 16891 fault and found out about the throttle body. This was cleaned and replaced but again did not solve my problems.
Another VAG-COM check after this.
Ignore the MAF fault I unplugged it when it was idling rough.
After this I have had the car idling at 1000+ RPM after trying to idle at the normal level but almost cutting out. The car does pull better now the throttle body has been cleaned and drives spot on, it is just the tick over that is not right. Unplugging MAF did seem to smooth it out but just wanted to eliminate any other issues before going for MAF and spending £70 odd.
I have just reset ECU tonight and after putting battery lead back on I went for a good 20 minute drive but the problem is still there. No MIL light at mo but will no doubt be on in a day or two. Will do another VAG-COM check then and post results.
Can anyone help?
