If you have tdi leon i strongly reccomend a mufflerectomy. My god how it changes the car. Such a cheap and relatively easy mod to do, but the gains are worth it. Sound and power gains. I never knew how restrictive that back box was.

Couple it with a decent induction and map and your talking decent power and performance. The sound is awesome. The 'owwww' sound when the turbo dumps is lovely :D :D Highly reccomended!

So you've just got a straight through pipe now?
How much did it cost? [B)]

pipercross vis. its the one with the foam cone.
but yeah running straight through now. Ive kept the cat. I was debating removing it as some of the lads have done that and reported good gains etc.. I kept it and just went for straight through, cat back. My god it makes a difference. Cherap mod, but so so affective.
As power mods go for this car, remap, and straight through.. you wopnt go wrong :D

.. also i kept the twin tailpipe theme going. I know most people go for the single oval. But results are the same. Just cosmetic really as i got the aero kit bumper cutouts

I dunno the power gains mate, but by the sounds of things it will mean uprating some engine internals and so on, as they are trying to find weak points in the running gear! So must be pushing for mega power!

to be honest mate it wasnt straight forward.. the kit comes for mkV golf. Im sure it fits sng in a golf V but in a leon the pipe is too big. I had to cut it down about 3 inch. Fits lovely and snug now :D after that i got some ducting and attatched it to the scooped section of the grille (where the original air box got its feed from) and then ran it down to the cone.
It was a little noticeable on its own, you can hear the 'whoosh' a bit more too, but coupled up with the exhaust mufflerectomy its lovely jubly :D :D
