Hi All,

I have purchased a SH LFR which is great. However it is looking a little worn in the bodywork department. For example I have :

1) Lines from automatic washers.
2) Chipping marks
3) Scratches
4) The odd little dent.

The colour is metallic graphite.

Can you advise on the best way to get this all sorted. I did come across a "dent" company that would "refresh" the bodywork for about £100.

Thanks,

Sam

A good detailer will get most of the scratches etc. out unless they're really bad

Hi Folks,

Apologies for the short hand.

Yes I have a second hand Leon FR '05 plate.

It has some little scratch lines from a garage car cleaner I believe. It also has some chip marks, the odd non paint breaking dent and the odd paint surface scratch from finger nails or whatever. The car is matellic black.

So what is the best approach please.

What is a detailer?

Thanks,

Sam

a detailer is a valeter who take more time doing the finer details apposed to your average valet
wiki : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auto_detailing

depends on the money really

you could a get it detailed which may get ride of the minor scratches and lines /swirls
chips wont go away neither will dents

or you gould get the likes of dent masters etc to remove the dents ,

or a repaint to have everything done

Im in same boat as you dude, got little niggly dents n scratches everywhere.

Got quoted about £100 to get it all cleaned, valeted, dents knocked out and a touch up here n there so aint a bad price really!

Wouldn't like to see the quality of the job for £100

i've been quoted min £50 for a tiny dent, so all that for £100 i would be surprised if the quality was any good!
