hell there i have my MOT/service next week and my horn is not working and nor are the audio controls on the steering wheel, they both stopped working at the same time so i assume the cause of the problem links these 2 problems together....ive checked the fuses i the fuse table under the bonnet,is there another fuse box somewhere else on the car??,so i can check those aswel before the car goes to seat, has anyone else had this problem?what was the solution if you have?......many thanks in advance for any help/advice gall84

thanks for the reply, that sounds expensive :( any idea of a cost to supply and fit a new one from seat?

The unit itself is quite expensive, about £150. Not sure how easy it is to change, it is located on the underside of the steering column. Even if the steering wheel has to be removed, probably no more than an hour labour.

ok thanks once again, when it goes for the service and mot this friday ill report back what the problem was so people can see, cheers

hello there took my car to EAG in lakeside, they diagnosed to problem as being the steering wheel control module....major service and mot and fixing this problem total cost was £480 so not too bad i suppose,good/friendly service there tho,i will definitly be using them again
