Hot to Clean up the MAF?

Hi, my MAF is failing so I was wondering what product should I use and how should I use it to clean up my MAF and see if it works fine again before spending on a new one!...

boiling hot soapy water wasnt it(leave it to soak), the same way you clean a laptop. ohh any one know where I can buy a new laptop?

Isopropynol for cleanin th maf, basically electrical cleaner.

Screwfix.com do some electrical cleaner, otherwise try www.electricalcleaningsupplies.co.uk (although the web site is up and down a lot).

Maybe there's an electrical distributors near you, Newey and Eyre for example?

best to pour cleaner into a container and leave maff to soak. Don't reconnect maff until cleaner has evaporated.

pull her out and use some wynns card/injector cleaner from halfrauds, 5 quid for a huge can, handy for oil leaks too

spray on, leave for 10 mins before putting back in

or pop down your local maplins, they have isopropyl cleaner.

remember cleaning it is only temporary, if its faulty then ultimatly it will need replacement.

You can get Isopropynol from chemists too, just ask for it, they should do you some in a measured amount, ie 100ml bottle.

Thanks to all!!! I`ve done it, and now readings are GOOD and my car is up and going full again!!!... I bought a Computer internal parts cleaner (motherboard cleaner), spray it over and over and over again, till all dirt and sssshht dissapeared.

Use electrical contact/switch cleaner from maplin! Leaves no residue and really polishes it up! Still works afterwards too which is nice!

Does it matter if you use 70% IPA or should it be the 99% stuff?
