How can i remove the Centre Console?

Hi all....i would like to remove the part of the centre console which goes around the gear stick, and the bit in between the handbrake and the gears. Anyone know how these come apart without breaking?

I have an 07 Ibiza FR btw.

reason is i want to hide my ipod link cable under a lil bit of trim.

before anyone suggests it, i kno u can hide it by pushing it under the sides, but i want it to cross over to the other side without being visible (the plug is on the drivers side, and i want the cable to appear somewhere over in the passenger side, as i will be using an ipod mount which fits into the cup holder....called a "podpod").

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just where the hand brake starts there is a plastic cover which can be removed. Takes a bit of pulling but should come loose without breaking.

ah ok, i did try pulling it but it felt like it was being held down by sumthing...i shall be more persuasive with it lol
