Just seen the facelift Leon advert and noticed that the sales guy in the ad pronounces Leon as 'Layon'.

Now I have always said it as it sounds, LEE ON

Just out of interest how do you say it?! Stupid thread but it intrigued me!

i used to be leeon but i was informed that the pronounciation of the place its named after is infact layon... so I jumped on that bandwagon... baa baa

SEAT, S.A. (pronunciation: [ˈsɛːat], "say-at"

The SEAT León (pronunciation: [le̞ˈon]) "lay-on"

Say-At-Lay-On

Sayat Layon for me too.
After all does anyone pronounce Seat the same way as a waiter would say "would you take this seat, sir" :)

Say at - Lay on.
C-AT makes it sound cheap and wrong to me, and LAY-ON as its named after a place.

Its like LE MANS or le mon.

True, I do say "Say At" but since I've had the Leon I've always pronounced it "LEE - ON"......Think I better change my ways of pronouncing things, lol

I remember just after I got the LCR I went to a BTCC with SCN and asked a Marshall where the special SEAT ( pronounced See at) at the time and got told off for mis pronouncing it!?!? He did say nice car though mate and then sent me to the rest of the clan but still I learnt.
