Sayat Lay-on absolutely. If not it sounds like I'm talking about a mate called Leon.

And to the non believers it's just called sumsorta seat

i have always said lee-on as it doesnt sound so pansy as lay-on, but then i call seat my arm chair as its nice and comfortable :)

'say-at lay-on' is correct according to everything i've heard. I've never said 'see-at lee-on', that's like saying I've got a 'fyord ees-cort' - lol! :lol::cry:

Cmon who would even admit to driving a ford, let alone worry about how its pronouced:lol:

round here you say leeon... they look blank
if you say layon... they look blank
if you say sayat layon/leon they still look blank.

you need to point and tell them "its the yellow one"... and they say "oh you mean the golf thing":rolleyes:

ha ha! I have exactly the same responses and I am from Sussex too! Must be a southern thing.
