thanks for the sympathy guys, wish i didnt NEED a car to get to work. i just cant bear to drive around in my car looking so awful, makes me look like i dont care about my car! right on the bloody doorstep of christmas too. :(

Got the Cupra stuck twice tonight, once for pulling over for an ambulance, had to rock it about in reverse and drive for about 20 minutes, then getting up my street, had to shovel the snow out and a blast in Sport did the trick :)

Danny.

sorry to hear this dude, hope it doesnt cost too much to get fixed

My FR is stuck on the driveway as I've got no grip when reversing. Luckily I have the ability and privilege to work from home.

My 1.6tdi was phenomenal in the snow last year. Only got stuck twice and had to take a different route once.

My house is at the bottom of a hill and I've had no trouble getting up in my 1.6 CR TDI. This is a first for me as I always had great difficulty in my old Leon TSI.

None of the neighbours in their Audi's and BMW's can get up.

Thought i'd have some fun on my way home from work....

When I saw that picture nightflight I thought, you lucky thing, you haven't got any snow!! Then the video shows different lol! Sadly the bit at 0.50 to about 1.00 really made me laugh how it all just suddenly came down lol. Simple I know.. :funk:

How crap are your wipers? :bleh: (1.00 -> 1.06, that one little bit of snow did not want to shift did it?)

You should probably think about knocking the snow off your roof BEFORE you start driving around.

Thats because the snow caught under the wiper an lifted it off the windscreen, but agreed, ALWAYS knock the snow off your roof before you drive, as your heater warms the inside up and then does exactly that in the video. Common sense.

Danny.

my cupra has been fine in the snow steady away and pick your route i just laugh as a go past the people giving it full revs.

Like everyone that has a Cupra/boc it is pretty useless in the snow. Mainly front wheels stuck in some rut or other slight incline.
This is why I thought of just replacing the front wheels and Tyres. Least I could get out of my drive/station parking space at least u could get moving.
Don't mind drifting, av had a couple of 14a's ;-)
Providing you take care you can get away with standard tyres on the back.

My car goes anywhere with the knobblies on the front, the rear goes everywhere!!
