How long did you have too look for your ideal ibiza before you purchased it. ive been looking for a gti 16 valver for a couple of months now and still nothing. found a few but are 150miles + away from me! By the time i could arrange to go and view it, it had been sold:(

maybe soon :drive1:
Cheers

i wasnt even wanting a new car, the GTI popped up for sale on here at a good price.
next week i was on a plane 350 miles away picking it up

I was looking at Peugeot 106 GTi's....

Couldn't find one I liked, and the ones I did I couldn't afford. I needed to find an alternative car. It needed to be good looking, have a sub 8 second 0-60 time and be less than insurance group 14. And not be a Saxo VTS!

So, effectively, my little 16v Cupra found me! It ticked all the boxes and just happened to be in immaculate condition, with some good, choice modifications already in place- And a full SEAT service history to boot... Was an excellent price too. Had to travel up North, to County Durham to get her but she was worth it :)

i was looking for a wee project , now the beeza has turned into my daily drive lol . it was on pistonheads for about 4 hours when i bought it .

I wasnt planning on getting an ibiza tbh.

I was looking for a car and was on autotrader and saw it (This was 26th Dec 2005). When i saw it i thought, something different to all the saxo's,corsa's and clio's people my age usually have. Plus my uncle had had 2 and said they were goos, reliable cars and he didnt have any problems with them.

So on the 27th december (First Day dealer was open after xmas) i went to look at it. The salesman had to come out and brush the snow off it and had to take some hot water to the locks as they were frozen. Took it for a test drive and gave it a good look over and decided that was it, i was taking it.

It also came with a folder of receipts of all the things it had been done to it from new. Even included the receipt that the first owner got when they bought it brand new. They got £1500 trade-in for a G-Reg Fiesta with 110,000 miles on the clock. I still have the folder of receipts.

Im so glad i got it now cos its different to what everyone else my age has. I want another car but cant facing selling the ibiza.

i was looking for a corrado 16v at the time, but then this turned up with the better ADL lump and the price was realyl good, so off through east london with £1k in my pocket

found one in about a month. it was only the second one I looked at. with one owner from new and full SSH I couldn't refuse it. Also got it for a bargain price as I made the dealer sweat for a few weeks.
Well pleased with my purchase.

About 3 months. I was starting work at 7am back then, so every Thursday when Autotrader was updated, I was first on the phone to the owner, and visited the evening it became available.

I wanted a 16v but at the time there was only 3 on autotrader in the country (according to the search). I only went to go and look at my current cupra with absolutely no intention of buying an 8v but as soon as i saw her, that was it. Bought it there and then. Didn't even bother at trying to haggle the price down :(
