Hi All

I've just put some 17" alloys on my 2001 Cupra (NICE BIRTHDAY PRESENT OFF THE GIRLFRIEND) and now sits a bit high so I want to change the springs.

I was wondering whats the lowest springs you can use on standard cupra suspension without causing any major problems and what do you recommend?

I'd love to change the whole suspension set-up but due to a new house i'm on a tight budget.

Thanks

Karl

You'd be best off waiting..... your shocks are pretty old as it is - putting springs on will just be a waste of cash

id wait and invest in some coilovers.... worth every penny then only drop 45mm max ( take a look at mine on 17s in readers rides )

Thanks for your advice. Did you have to do any additional work such as changing track rod end etc to make sure they fir correctly or was it a straight swop.

i got g max coilovers ( 360 quid ) and they went stright on no probs . the LC can go a little lower that the LCR due to the front bumper not bein as low

Did you fit the stabiliser bolt kit to yours.

As to your photos, cars looks smart.

? dont know . a mate at the local garage put em on in 1.5 hrs and he said they were a doddle and now i can corner at dacent speeds . I could not belive how soft and spongy the std springs where to say its a quik car

Well Cheers for you help. Will go and have a word with the FINANCIAL DIRECTOR and see what she says. Christmas is coming so may have an early present. Will but the pictures online when i get it done.
