If brakes are sticking, can they be cleaned up and tried, whilst having a look at the piston to make sure its seated correct etc? But a stripdown and clean would help?

Cheers, common sense i guess lol. I'll take the wheels off and give them a clean when the weather is next nice and i'm off work lol. So the summer :p...

I have a 2007 mdl yr Leon 2.0 tdi 140 dsg I have had problems with consumption since new and I don`t boot it because I need to save fuel + traffic from work is a pain. Get approx 450 but showes 570 on computer at the mo, which drops like a stone nearer run out. I also use millers. If i did`nt convinced would be worse

Mine when i fill it reads 420...however 50miles down the road and it shows 410...if you brim your tank it just sees the tank as ful, but it must stop reading at a certain point and we may be able to get more fuel in past that point? because my needle reads full for the 1st 75 miles or so then once it starts to drop its contuinous untill its empty, filled up again today, probably wont see it leave full untill about tuesday/wednesday and i do 25 - 40miles a day on average.

Filled up with V-Power today (finally sourced a Shell garage that sells it)

I've only done 75 miles on it and I've got to say im chuffed. Dosed the Millers DPS4 with it as normal, runs like a dream......

Instantly after starting the car after I filled up I noticed the idle was very smooth and quiet, it was like someone had put the OEM dog bone back on whilst I was inside paying.....

Car is reading 50MPG upwards for non-motorway driving (thats up 7MPG for me), done 75 miles and computer says 485 miles remaining.......

My TDI just doesnt sound like a TDI with V-Power in, im really suprised by it - I thought I was going to have to run 1-2 tanks of it through to start seeing any change....but like I said it was instant!

So now I have the nice tight feel of the gearbox/engine mount but without the vibration. Cool :D

My work is currently changing, so it looks like I might be doing a commute to Camberley from SE London 3 times a week. On previous trips I get circa 44-46mpg on the trip display.

I get up set cruise speed then drop the cruise control on.

Mk2 Leon PD140 with AMD remap.

im off to hallfords tomorrow night after work for some millers then. give that a go. then i think i'll splash out when this tank is empty on some v power. although its not doing to bad at the mo. its just moved off full and ive got 130+ on the clock. and i think i'd have got more if i wasn't doing an unmentionable speed down the m6 this morning. See how it goes though.
When i was nearing the end of my last tank i went out and drove the car for 20 miles like i'd stolen it. it didn't drop below 3k revs and it got flatlined before every gear change and i did lots of engine breaking. its like a different car now. so much smoother. must have blown all the crap out of it. but what a difference.

I hope that's engine braking and not breaking....;)

Got about 470 out of the last tank before filling up - had high hopes this tank would be the first to top 500miles (driving like a granny) but a crappy & busy drive to work this AM seen the trip average drop to just over 35mpg! Boo!

Well 130ish miles later, almost all motorway, the needle didnt move until about 80miles.

Indicator still says circa 480miles remaining.

iv found that v-fuel doesnt seem to make that much difference, specially not for the extra money per litre for how many miles (if any) extra you get. And not sure if halfords sells millers, think you need to order off the website which is http://www.millersoils.net/1_Millers_frame_AUTO_RETAIL.htm but theres an expensive postage charge from there if its under 15kgs so if you just want a small bottle to try out then try here> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Millers-Power...ryZ72205QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

hope this helps, dave.

Not often do I run a tank down, but from a "first click + an extra litre shoved in" on my 45l tank equipped fabia, I got 590 miles out of it before needing to fill up again, and it was showing 10 miles to go when I tanked up (in reality it probably had 50+ left) Got 44 litres in on that fill up and the car said I would do 650 on it - doubt that, but not far off. I love my car's economy, given the power I can and do use on occasion. :D

I'd love to see what my Leon could do to a full tank if I drove it on longer journeys.

One thing I did notice with the Leon is the longer you drive it for the better return on MPG you get.

Mine was up at 60.1MPG on the average computer (non-motorway), I've never seen it go above 52MPG before.......V-Power certainly seems to be doing well for me.

I dare say I could get 580ish miles out of a full tank if my journeys were alot longer than my 2 mile commute to work everyday.
