I've only had mine a week - but I think its something i'm gonna do in the (not too distant) future.

Where abouts in Bury is it?

I had it done at Hi-Tech Diesels. It's a couple of minutes away from the B&Q Warehouse.

I only had it a couple of weeks before I had it done, money well spent IMO.:D

Are you still getting decent mpg? or is it too tempting to hammer it everywhere?

I still give it at least one good blast whenever I take it out and it returns 42-44mpg easily but if I go out purposely to boot it, it'll drop down to about 32-34mpg. A long steady motorway run sees about 49mpg.

There's an attempt at arranging a NW meet if you have a look in the relevant section. Come down and you can compare standard to remaped!;)

Nothing wrong with that, win-win situation as far as I'm concerned! Still maintain good fuel economy and enough power to put the cat amongst the pigeons when you come across a standard Cupra R.

I have one to and love it, had it since new, was a nearly FR+ (it had the wheels but not the bumbers). I have been thinking about completely debadging it recently make it look even more indescript to the local hoodie element.

Looked at the new one, but somehow they just dont look like the Mk1, so decided to keep it until it falls apart in years - only done 35k miles anyway.

keying is the least of my worries, i was parked outside the chipper last night and the local hoodie gang were looking all round the car, they tried the door handles and started to bang on the windows of the car. i went out and chased them from it as the oldest was about 14 but none the less....... been a bit cagey of where i park it most of the tme but last place i thought it would happen would be outside in plain view.

What roads are you driving on?

I do about 40% motorway driving and the rest mixed between town and rural. Without even trying to drive economically I get at least 47MPG.

Something is not right there.

mostly a and b roads maybe a 20-30% motorway and drive quite economical. Usually get 400 miles to a tank max of 440. I think something is wrong somewhere but dont know where to start to be honest. I check tyre pressures often so its not that!!!!
