how much do think i should sell this for? CORDOBA 1.6 SX

hey there...considering selling my cordoba 1.6 sx coupe,...had new gearbox clutch and timing belt done within last three months..could do with getting the exhaust sorted out as its a bodge up(thanks to previous owner) and a nearside mirror cup and the arches are lookin crap as previous owner bodged them up....it does come with kent cams, pipercross induction kit..i also have the two new silver wings as previous owner drove into a head and there kinda scuffed....and have a spare black bonnet incase your into the black bonnet look.....comes with tax oct, and MOT next year..

ANY IDEAS ROUGHLY WHAT I SHOULD PUT IT UP FOR SALE FOR?

I guess before you decided to hit 'New thread' you actually looked on Parkers, Autotrader, Pistonsheds to get an idea?

What they sell for is significantly lower. Much more like 300-600.

no offence at all mate but it pains me to look at that ibiza on stilts........please lower it..............the cordy looks nice thow it's just findin the right buyer.......good look

haha thats my mates ibiza, everyone else calls it stilts too lol i only put that pic up cos it had the black bonnet on the corby then when i first got it, got the silver one on now like but got the black one spare ....the whole black bonnet thing aint my thing.

yeah its my car and ill do to it what i want, sorry for not havnig the money to splash on expensive suspension kits and coillies, if it didnt have so many problems id have sorted that ages ago, not my fault the engines on these things are **** and need fixing all the time! no wonder baxter wants to sell!

No all of the engines are rubbish. If they are well maintained etc then you dont have problems. My 1.4 has done 117k miles and I dont have any problems, just general wear and tear items.

spose you could always sell it as a potential track car.

Stick it on ebay advertised as that and you'll either get a boy racer wanting to own the streets or a sensible person who will have track fun in it interested.

If its as bad as you say and dependant on mileage, history etc then its going to be £500 tops. Its a sahme really because the SX is a better drive than the equivalent ibiza, but people just don't like them.

i must just have a bad one then, needs too much to keep it running okay... its not just the engine tho, both my windows have broke, ones got wood keeping it up and the other i darent use because the wire will snap

But the winder mech's are at best 10yrs old if they're the originals.

Hardly a major mechanical failure though...
