How much for Cambelt kit and water pump change? Tdi engine

Just wondering how much I should be looking at paying from a local garage if I was to supply the parts?

Depends where in the country you live ?

As a guide main Seat dealer in the S East will charge you around £450 -£500 inc the parts. A ind garage will be about £200 less.

Personally i would advise against supplying the kit yourself as if the belt fails the fitter will blame the parts and the parts supplier will blame the fitter etc.

Better to let the fitter source the parts so if it goes tits up you have 100% comeback. Oh and get a receipt in case of problems. Messing up a cambelt can be very expensive so best not to cut to many corners.

Krussel my cousin works in europarts so thats the reason why am looking to supply the parts as it'll work out cheaper for me.

I too am interested in seeing what the prices are for an independent to do it as mine needs replacing soon. The fixed price on the SEAT website is £349 for a diesel cambelt and £129 for the water pump if replaced at the same time as the cambelt. The water pump on its own is £169.

Yeah that makes sense. Guess your looking at about £100 to £150 cash labour then.

As i guide last month i bought a Volvo C70 2.4 Turbo trade and paid £250 cash for the Cam belt, water pump and aux belt etc at the same time.
