How much oil to put in ?

See, i need to mend my ways, i have been topping up with half a litre to a litre. Thats why i'm topping up more often than others possibly. I need to top up with 2 litres, then it will last me longer between top ups !! (i guess !)

my lc has 120000 miles underi t's belt and does not use a single drop between 10000 miles servicings. also not sure what the feeling is on 10-40w oil, i'm sure seat recomend something along the lines of 0-30w or 5-30w. not sure if this would have an effect

Cheers for the info, my seat garage recommend 10W40 Magnatec. Just a question, but what is the difference between 10W40 and 5W whetever ?. What do those numbers mean, and can they be used okay in the Cupra ?

Well Castrol recommend 5W-30 for the Leon Cupra 1.8 2-VT, yet the SEAT garage recommend 10W-40. So which one is right ? and what is the difference (is there a big difference ?)
