2 years without full link, great job by seat 😂😭😡
Yes it's ridiculous. My car is going into the dealers in a few days so I will report back on what they plan to do!

More annoyingly is the Lane Assist that comes on by default every time you start the car. I cant believe that this was ever consumer tested for UK roads!!! I'm already fed up of it and want away from SEAT because of it.

I think Lane Assist is mandatory (or is to become mandatory) on all new cars, so it’s not just Seat that’s introduced this feature.

This, and you won't be able to turn it off either I understand. I don't get why people whine about it all the time, there must be something wrong with their driving style.

Result! I dropped my Leon 21 FR plate off at the dealer this morning. The message on screen I was seeing was "Full Link is unavailable". 4hrs later got a call to say it's sorted. All under warranty. Much happier now 😀. I'm plugged in with Android Auto. Not tested with wireless 👍

Let us know how you get on @xRRx. The difference is night and day for me. Also I've noticed that now I have cruise control! Previously the steering wheel buttons only gave me an option to set a speed limiter. The car was sold to me as not having cruise control. Go figure :)

Hi guys, is the option for aftermarket full link only available for the guys who was sold a car with FL but didn't receive it or can the rest of us also contact a dealer for installation now? I still get the not available when pressing FL button. Does it require the newest update? Thanks

How does CC work for you if you didn't have it previously? Doesn't it require a different steering wheel with the CC button as well?

In Greece the upgrade is only available for the 8 screens, in one month the purchase will be available for all 10

My cruise control works fine.
I would also like adaptive cruise control, but I'm not greedy

The only button that I don't have on the wheel is the adaptive cc button. Before my software update I hit the Set button or any of the other buttons and they were only used to change the speed limit setting. There wasn't an option for CC. If I press the button with the car symbol on it now, I can see there is an option to enable speed limit and also cc.
I also notice today that I can now also change the driving profile to sport, eco, normal etc.
The dealer was right, it's a huge software update and it took a couple of hours apparently.

As you know, mine was sold as having FL but it didn't have it. So It was installed under warranty. I gave them the details of the error and I was told had to wait a month to book my car in. I'm guessing they used this time to order it in for my specifically for my job from the main manufacturers or something.

I think you would be a le to put a request in for a retrofit. Probably at a mad cost though. Let us know!

The retrofit should be a software update (enabling the option) + replacing one of the USB C ports (to provide stronger current and charge the phone faster during use). But surely they will charge hell for it.

Oh I did not realize that it requires a usb-c replacement as well. I guess that is going to be to much of a hassle for them - and one of the reasons we have not seen seat sell the possibility to install full link like they do on mk3. Guess that model came with the right USB port on all models. Unfortunately mine was sold as a non FL car and I guess I will have a slim to no chance of getting a dealer to install it - even though they told me it should become a service in the future.

I don't think they are going to replace one of the USB-C ports (like they did on the 3rd gen Leon) because the current ports already are USB PD fast charge ports.

Yeah, I might be wrong. My ports are not fast charge or not working properly (tested with several phones - they provide around 1000-1400mah, far from fast charges).
I have non FL vehicle (full link not available).
