i have put in the search bout this but there is a mixture of replies so thought id open a new thread.
Im thinking about debadging my leon and wondered how hard it was and how to do it. Im keen to do it myself becasue i dont believe in paying over the odds for something that can be done myself. Is anyone able to give some guidlines and maybe some pics to ensure im doing the right thing.
Cheers guys

When i fitted my new 20vt badge, all i did was just prise off the old one, with a small screw driver and some cloth held underneath to stop it damageing the paint.

Get a little cut or (autoglym) tar remover to remove the old sticky left behind, and polish the panel after the badges have been removed job done....

i said at the start thank you that i have clicked search on this topic but could really find aything thats was very hepful hence the reason why i opened the topic

gadz if you use a screwdriver your a dangerous man

easy mate, dental floss and use it as a saw between your hands then clean off the sticky residue

I just did mines about 15 mins ago.

I used a mixture of hot water and cold water (made a slightly lukewarm mixture) and soaked the glue holding the badges and left for 5 minutes. I then very carefully used an old card (in this instance it was my GAME points card) to remove the badges from the car - being very careful not to remove any paint.

I then removed the remaining glue residue with some AutoGlym Tar remover, I sinply soaked the residue with the tar remover and left for a few minutes and then rubbed lightly until the glue had been removed.

Worked a treat for me :D
