I get like this some times then I clean her and the just looking at her makes me smile. :D

Dolby, it'll be a sad day when you sell up. I love your LCR its always been kept so well. If I were you I'd get the paint work sorted, the wheels refurbished, car serviced then see where you are a couple of month down the line. If your still not happy maybe its time to think what to get next, if you refind the love, squeeze some extra torque out of it and you'll wonder what came over you.

Just out of curiosity, what would you consider getting next?

thanks for the kind words mate

thing is, i love my wheel colour, but it is so damn hard to keep clean (and more importantly corrosion free) especially from ferodo pads!! I honestly think the car lost some of its love when i bought the coilovers. I mean yeah the car looks great now its slammed, and handles supreme, but its so damn uncomfortable- just taking passengers in it is so embarrassing...having to take the long way home to stop killing the sump guard too. I could raise it, but will need a new allignment...aaaah its all money!

I recently got back into the travelling/ exploring thing, and i find myself looking for short breaks away all the time. Obviously money that i used to plough into the car. I recently changed jobs and so now i have more money- but instead of doing the car up, i just want to go travelling some more....

I dunno what to decide guys tbh, may just give the car up and not drive anymore....or...and it kills me to ay this, but i will still be driving a badass car- maybe getting a nice Audi A4 avant 3 litre TDI. the only diesel i would every buy......

hmmm decisions decisions

Mate to be quite frank out of all the LCR's on here, I've like yours the most. I have the same model, colour etc and if I had the money I'd make it look like yours except for one thing, I'd go anthracite or titanium cvolour on the alloys.

You do not want to sell your car, you'll regret it unless your upgrade to something like one of the Evo FQ360's

Dolby, look you've got the itch to move on, the LCR served its purpose, no shame in saying you've out-grown it or fallen out of love with it, i too have felt embarrassed at times carrying passengers and then i would think its not an operation vehicle anymore, its fast as **** but can't carry passengers with comfort and there are certain areas of the country where we just use the other, "family" car, I'm not saying go out an buy a 65mg diesel that rides like a boat, but horses for courses and if you fancy threading some new ground well then maybe thats the way to go.

If you feel you need to move, do it, like ending a relationship, some of them we just cling onto for fear of the inevitable which happens anyway BTW and others we stick with and just end up bitter, go have a flutter, if then you feel like you shouldn't have changed, for sure you pick up a new Leon in no time.

Having said all that there is a big VAG scene, don't forget it, maybe you just need to get out and play a bit more, this might float your boat or give you some inspiration, a guy i know over on another forum i moonlight on helped put it together.

I was falling out of favour with mine too so i just upped the power and really happy again. On the subject of stage 2, keep the boost below 1.5 bar and it will keep peak torque around 280 ft/lb which will keep on the right side of your rods and clutch, the torque will be sustained higher for longer at the red line and overall will give most area unser the curve and in safety too, win win.

On a colder day, t0m (same mods) ran 300bhp & 330lb/ft so I would expect the same around Winter TBH.

I ran on a warm day in a warm RR room and I do wonder how much the custom exhaust setup I tried & oversized FMIC contibuted...probably quite a lot. Either way, it's a serious piece of machinery now.

Happy rollers;)

back on topic, i have an escort td estate that i use during the week and just use my LCR the weekend and after driving the escort all week i really appricate my LCR puts a big smile on my face, this way i will never get bored of it but having it as your daily driver its easy to get bored quick:)

Quality video !:D

ok so if anyone actually cares, recently had a service,MOT, cleaned it etc etc and looked at all the flaws atm and so im getting them sorted..

front and rear bumpers got a quote today of £150 for a blow over or £300 + VAT for the whole fron to be done...while was there had a quote to get my calipers painted 'bright red'. YEH YEH could probably do it myself but a) not fart assing around with the jacking point covers, b) i live on a hill so cant sort it anyway, and c) the professionals will get it all looking back to normal.

So thats new brakes, soon to be freshly painted front and rear bumper, soon to be painted calipers, engine and internals all clean and tidy (no more creaks etc)....now just have to get a quote from wicked wheels to refurb the wheels 'Brightest silver, ever'

she be back to normal in no time
