How to replace / upgrade the coolant nipple

Follow this guide if you need to replace (or want to upgrade) the coolant nipple on your EA888 engine. I upgraded the plastic coolant nipple with an upgraded aluminium coolant nipple. They tend to leak over time, which is hardly noticeable as the coolant burns up on the back of the engine.

Generic steps
- Remove airfilter
- Remove wire harness
- Remove bolts which hold coolant rail
- Remove coolant nipple
- Fit new coolant nipple
- Fit bolts which hold coolant rail
- Fit wire harness
- Refit air filter
- Top up coolant

@tracktoy You are welcome! As you can hear in the video, removing the bottom clamp wasted a lot of my time. In hindsight, just get the nipple out with the coolant hose still attached & the clamp in place. Remove the bottom clamp when you have the nipple out

And silly me made the exact mistake when fitting the new nipple haha (getting the bottom clamp in place last instead of first)
