for months i thought i was a spaz and accidentally managed to push the rear wiper stalk when reversing  turns out its not me, its the car lol When i have used front wipers and not rear, the car detects it and automatically does a rear wipe upon putting it in reverse... Is there a way to stop this?

Cheers

Think your stuck with it mate, although Dan's VAG-COM idea might enable you to switch it off. My last few cars have all had this feature.

Best bet is to turn off your front wipers before you put it in reverse :)

you can deactivate the function with Vag-Com or a capable stealer can do it for you. It's in module #09, don't have the byte/bit right now but I can easily find it if you wish.
