Hi all sorry for the late reply, just to update you with turning off permanently the speed assist using
OBD Eleven
THIS DOES WORK
You will need to do the following
You will need the latest
OBD dongle which has just come out, which is version 3.
My version 2 did not even find the car?
Then you will have to get through the 2 part verification, and you will need a google Authenticator app to generate a code to do so.
after this you will have to update your
OBD account and then you can start the
OBD app again press connect and again it will not find your car
but you can put in your VIN number and then it will find your car.
press connect as normal and go to apps you will find the app at the bottom please look at photo below.
it 200 credits and you will need to turn off the ignition and then turn it back on and then open the bonnet.
the app first time said not supported if this happens try turning off the ingnition and opening the bonnet again
this worked for me.
there will be a warning that the SOS will not work this is normal.
I have try it and it does work and even better in my plug in the annoying brake system, for example when you go from a 40 to 30 the car if you are costing will slow it self down this has now gone and is back as normal car.
this is the car I thought it was bought but after you put some miles on you find out these things.
warning if you do try this it is at your own peril.
cheers jools
