HU advice

Hi there, quick question. Need a HU to connect my iPhone in my car. Getting a bit fed up with alana's quality. Fitted some top quality 6*9s and OEM unit doesn't make full potential of them. Anyway, looking at some low level units and this popped up. I am able to fit myself just been a while since I knew stuff about HUs. Any advice / other options very welcome.

I know your looking at stuff at basic price there! But id highly recommend the Alpine iDA-x305s, had it in my last 2 cars, fully ipod and iphone connectability and easy to read menu screens with scroll button!!

Will do. Will be installing the bluetooth mic in the golf GTI interior light I fitted too, so may even stick up a how-to if I'm feeling helpful.

Though you can't change the text colour, I think it suits the car nicely. Well-specced too.

ive got this in mine. bought it because the pre outs stopped working on my old one so i couldnt have my sub. it does the job mate & is a fair bit better than the standard one.
if you want i can upload a photo of it in the car if you wanna see what it will look like.

Cheers for the responses, I ideally am looking for one with a rear USB port as I quite like the clean dash appearance. Was looking at some double din alternatives but the prices hikes up a bit to around 150 which isn't too bad but not sure how good they will look. Seen some nice ones on some RR on here though..

I want HIDs though so still spilt between spending the money on HIDS and this. What do you guys think would be a better spend of money? Bearing in mind I have 6*9 s installed and have sub and amp lying round at home..

I was considering it. You stash your iPod etc inside. No CD slot, or bluetooth which was the dealbreaker for me. Would achieve the 'clean' look you're after and can be illuminated in red. They do a cheaper one, but it doesn't have red illumination.

No cd is odd :/ but this does come with Bluetooth

Pretty sure the one I posted doesn't have Bluetooth. The DSX-S300BTX does, but it's over £200. well above what the OP was looking at spending.

I did have a look at that Sony one, butihave an iPhone and I am not sure because a, I don't think the device would fit in the space provided, and b, it's quite handy to have the phone more accessible as I do a few short trips... I did really like the look of that one though. Also I have the old Bruce Springsteen CDs and that I use the disc drive for...

Anyone have any bad/good experiences with any online car audio sites? There are a few and all very similar priced, so doesn't matter where I go...
