Hubcentric wheel spacers and wheel bearings.

Do Hubcentric wheel spacers put any extra loads/stresses through the wheel bearings and shorten their life span?

I am thinking of fitting either 15 or 20mm spacers to the rear axle of my standard wheeled Ibiza Cupra.

I think any spacers will have an effect on wheel bearing life. The wider the spacer, the more pronounced the effect.

I bow down to Bill's superior knowledge.
The leverage from spacers on less advanced bearings used to have quite an effect.

70k miles on mine. run wide as heck wheels, spacers, slicks, abused on track and 1 x NS wheel bearing in its life.
