I cant clearmy fault codes with vag.com. itsays professional interface grade required?whats that?

also its not registered or activated.

I was led to believe with the shareware edition you can clear codes?

any help would be triffic

Should work with e-bay cable and share-ware vag-com. How are you trying to clear the codes (step by step).

yeah im using the shareware 409 US one. i do my auto scan 1st, this brings up my error code.
then on the left menu i have print results, clear results, copy results and clear DTCs

after i click clear DTC i get the error professional interface grade required.

Auto scan doesn't work for me, (needs full license), but I scan the individual modules, then select 'clear codes' and they are gone.

Yep, I've cleared fault codes by disconnecting the battery for 1/2 hr, try that!

You need to do that when you have a non-pro licence too.

Im sorted now lads, I cleared them after scanning individually like you said. Why these sellers never send out proper instructions??

thanks for that very useful tip.
had to do some work on car and not knowing how to clear didn't know if it had fixed it or not.
cleared and all good, so saved 180 going to a dealership.
