HELP!

Got a water problem in my left back of the car, the carpet is like a pool, I found water at the rear passenger's feet, I think is coming from chair rails. Has anyone else had this problem?

I checked the pollen filter today and it seems fine.

It could be, check the pollen filter area , then on drivers side the electrical box , bonnet release and scuttle drains (both sides) - all areas prone to cause leaks into the cabin.

Or in my case an incompetent National Windscreens fitter who didn't bother to fit the cabin filter cover correctly. He had not checked that the flexible skirt was on the outside of the box so instead all the rain went directly into the filter and straight into the footwell. I only noticed because the EML light for the airbags came on. The water had shorted the side crash sensor.

However. you state the REAR passenger? If so most likely the rear door seals. You would need substantial water first getting into the front well before being able to flood over the into the rear.

Whereabouts in London are you?

Does anyone have a part number or a reliable supplier for the plastic fixings for the cabin filter cover? Anyone who's done this job knows exactly the part I mean...

Do you mean the 2 pop studs?

The joys of google found me this photo - these ones, yes.

Like with so many parts, they've got a thousand different names, and I'm yet to find the name that actually takes me to something I can buy.

Yeah, guessed you meant those. If you want the real easy answer - don't bother, I've run both my Leons' for nearly 10 years without them. Just a pain to be bothered.

If you want to know more it may mean a trip to a dealer and look on their system as they one's we get access to like OEMEPC don't list them or indeed the part being held.

I've got a mixed bag of fittings and later I'll have a look to see if any are the right ones.

Perfect - thank you.

My local dealership is really good when it comes to getting parts in. One of these days I'll order something big from them, but for the time being, I've kept them busy with tiny screws and plugs...!
