Bump to an old thread

My girlfriend has got a 1.2 polo and seems to have a battery cover on her car, does anyone know if this fits or not? Might try and *Cough* borrow that

and did you try this and was you sucsessfull??

hey, sorry i completely forgot about this, yes i did try it, and it doesn't fit, there is a slight lip around the back of the battery cover which causes it to be loose. So, short and sweet, it doesn't work.

no, nicked it of my girlfriends 1.2 12v polo, doesn't seem to fit the ibiza battery, might be worth trying the early cupra battery cover?

from what i can gather it is vary varied about which ibiza's come with battery covers, just in the process of trying to find out the part numbers from a guy that has a battery cover on his battery so will let you know when i hear.

Different ones for different engines:

AMF,ASY,ASZ,ATD,AZL,BBU,BBX,BJX,BKV,BLZ,BPX - 6Q0 915 429 B
AUB,AZQ,BBY,BBZ,BAH,BKY - 6Q0 915 429 D

For the top cover bit. Should cost about a fiver

Thought you at least had that bit the top cover isnt much use without it nothing to clip it into

nope we were stiched up when seat made the later cars. the battery is just in a cage so we need the number for the box aswell!

i've just got a crappy piece of cloth surrounding mine, so i guess i need that box that it sits in too.
