Hi,

I registered for this forum recently as I am considering buying a seat ibiza for my next car due to the fuel economical of these vehicles.

is a 5-10 year old seat ibiza car good for fuel?

A guy i used to work with said he used his car daily and fueled up once every 3 4 weeks!

Are seat ibiza car good for fuel?

Like ANY Marque, it really depends on Engine size/type.. How YOU drive if you 'rag' it , you will lower consumption...if you drive longer journeys at constant speeds you can 'up ' the consumption a bit in comparison to stop start town /city driving..

You cant buy a 1.2 mk2 ^

I found my 1.4 ibiza was alright on fuel, and my GTI wasnt far behind it, you rev the 1.4 harder to get to a decent speed but with the gti its fairly easy.

Depends what type of driving you do.

Only the TDi is really fuel efficient to be honest. The 1.4 and can see in excess of 400 miles to a tank driven correctly, but as said a 2.0 8v is capable of that - the tanks hold 9 gallons.

ive got a 1.4. all i do is city driving (usually reasonably short distances too) and you have to rag it to get any sorta speed. also got a full exhaust and induction kit so it drinks a fair bit.

get rid of the induction kit...car doesnt want hot air sucked into it.
Had a piperx one on my old 1.4 for a bit and it hated it. thats why ur mpg is lowering

my 1.0 ibiza is awesome for fuel consumption overall, but the amount of driving I do soon adds up! its great putting a fiver in for just over quarter of a tank tho! :D

shouldnt be sucking in hot air. its behind the lower grille so can get lots of nice cool air :)

Yeah man i'm driving one of these now, i completely agree with what other users have said, my mk2 1.4 does well on fuel, as said, the harsher you are with the pedal the more fuel you consume.
