Ibiza cupr R , what colours ??

Right people what colours can you get the R in? seen one says R but is red with all the trimmings/alloys of a normal cupra, the reg when checked match's as a cupra R?? My insurance company quoted off that reg as a cupra R too!! ? help!

check the log book.. does it have brembo calipers?

You can get the R in red black and Yellow, the "r" sould have:
- Red Seat Belts
- "Seat Sport" embroided on the seats
- Brembo Brakes
- O.Z super turismo 16" wheels as standard
- On the din slot underneath the stereo and heater/climate controls there should be 2 gauges an oil temperature and a voltage meter
- The cupra r's sit 20mm lower than a standard cupra
- On the boot the ibiza badge should be in the middle and the "cupra" and "r" badges to the right
- Also on the engine cover there is a little carbon affect strip wich the cupra doesnt have

And finally they are 24 bhp more so you should be able to tell by driving it, I hope this helps

it'll say Seatsport on the seats and not cupra

this is basically the only cupraR component which will tell u wot model it is

as the brembos, the wheels, the gauges in the cubby pot and the badges an engine cover can be bought fairly cheap to upgrade a normal cupra


may just find a past owner sold the superTs cos they are in great demand, bought some aftermarket alloys and then sold them and bought sold cupra rims off ebay when he was selling the car

Right thanks people, the bloke who is selling it says its definatly NOT an R, but the reg checks up as an R, therefore if i was to insure it they would charge me for a cupra R and i'd be driving a standard cupra?

My insuranse on the Ibiza Cupra R was £200 more than my Cupra

But I still brought it

wouldnt touch it if the DVLA have incorrect info and the owner didnt tell you that straight away.
