Ibiza Cupra T advise 156bhp buying

off to have a look at a mk3 seat ibiza cupra T tomorrow, it has 42k, fsh, hpi clear. Just wondering if there are any common faults on the cupra T's or things to look for when buying (apart from the obvious accident damage etc)? the guy mentioned some problem with clutch pins going from time to time?? if anyone has any advise I would most appreciate it.

Check the rear wheel arches, they are renowned for going mouldy.

T.B.H they are pretty robust. Most things are common sense.
If the engine knocks or the gearbox is grinding you know its trouble.
Build quality is good and with that mileage it should be mechanically sound as long as it hasn't been abused.

if its quite high priced due to the fact its low milage make sure it is genuine!

other than that just the usual and if ya not too sure what ya looking at take someone who is mate

I got an rac inspection when i brought mine. Couple hundred quid but they inspect the whole car, HPI check and you get a full detailed report from them.
They also done mine the day after i booked it so it was really quick too!

Surpose, but its cheaper than buying an expensive turd.
