Hello people. Moved this post over from the ibiza section.

At the weekend did a bit of detailing, switched all bulbs to LED and fitted some fresh wheel centre caps and a stubby antenna.

Got a few more bits on the way!

Got lots planned so will update the thread as things happen :D

Wrapped my Head unit surround in carbon on my lunch break today. Nice little kit off ebay cut to perfect size.

Got smoked LED stripe side repeaters on the way :)

Flush De-wiper bung fitted today, rear end looking way smoother.

Allow the shitty marks where the cupra badge was, I have some carbon fibre ones on the way :)

Got a few bits done over Christmas
Fitted Pipercross high flow filter
Brake callipers painted RS blue
Centre hubs cleaned up and painted metallic grey
Boot lid repainted after a major **** up de-badging

I think some 4D plates and 20mm wheel spacers are next on the list.

Looks awesome!

Some plates will definitely clean up the rear end further especially with the badge delete and wiper delete. As an alternate have a look at some pressed/stamped plates, much cheaper than your 4d plates and look awesome as well.

Been a while since I updated this but a lot has been going on behind the scenes.

Since previous update she is now running:

Custom stainless steel Cat-back exhaust
MST Air intake
GFB DV+
Custom Stage 1 map by JA Custom Tuning running 1.35Bar boost (www.jacustomtuning.co.uk)
EBC Turbo Drilled and Grooved discs all round
EBC Green Stuff pads all round
Fresh brake bleed and oil
20mm Forge spacers on the rear
15mm Forge spacers on the front
ST Sport shocks all round
Apex 35mm lowering springs
4D plates
Badges wrapped Satin Black
Rear lights and reflectors wrapped in medium smoke tint
Front fogs wrapped in medium smoke tint
Sun strip
Full LED bulb conversion (Fogs, sidelights, DRLs, Reverse, Reg plate, Interior)

Maintenance work carried out:

OEM Timing chain kit and timing gasket
OEM DSG Clutch kit
OEM water pump
OEM supercharger belt and auxillery belts
New coolant tank
Coolant piping
PCV valve
OEM VAG plugs and coils

Planning to add RTMG large front mount intercooler, RTMG turbo inlet pipe, Sports cat (not sure which yet)

Absolute blast to drive this thing now!

Fitted the RTMG Turbo inlet pipe today, was shocked how big this thing is compared to the standard plastic pipe.

I had it on mine, made no difference at all, what you have to be mindful of is that when underload that pipe is under vacuum and any airflow still has to come down the same diameter at the turbine inlet....for me a hard pipe makes more sense.

Also I believe and others have also confirmed those intercoolers are bought on ebay and repackaged at a cost...although more expensive I would go with the Airtec intercooler as you have more guarantee over the build quality.

You will see more gains with a sports cat or decat downpipe than any other mod

Hmm I get what you're saying but I feel surely it allows air to pass more freely from supercharger to the turbine. It feels like it spools up quicker since fitting ? maybe just placebo.

Interesting, I didn't know that, always thought their intercoolers did look a bit generic like an Ebay one. Airtech it is then, will defo be handy in summer.

I'm scared of going de-cat downpipe after reading Lucifers guide as I'm on the standard turbo. Sounds like the De-cat knackers the standard turbo without mods to it.

I do have plans to do sports cat though eventually, will be added to this thread when I decide on which :)

What I've learnt is that the lucifer guide was good for it's day but tech/remaps both ecu and dsg plus turbo manufacturing have all moved on since then.
If you read his actual build thread many problems were self caused not necessarily a factory design or born fault.

It's decent for a 1st incite but dated in terms of a guide on how to go about tuning in 2022

Yeah good point. Although I am running the 2010 CAVE engine and stock turbo at 85K miles.

Id like to say its a healthy one though, no expenses have been spared on maintenance work.

Hope you get many happy miles out it, maintaining them is the key 👌

Did a full wash and wax today and I've noticed that the rear sits a bit higher than the front.

I had ST sport shocks and 35mm Apex lowering springs fitted all round. Is this normal for it to sit like this ?

Its defo lower than it was at the back but its annoying me

They have a 10mm positive rake from standard, Syphon measured his cupra for me a while back so I could set my coilovers properly.

If your springs were same length all round you will retain the 10mm higher in the rear
