Ibiza Dab making weird noises!?!

20mins after I went a 20 mile drive tonight I went out the back of my house to find that there was a high pitched beeping noise coming from the engine bay which would come on for about 2secs every appx 19secs, this went on for a further 15mins! i would normally think this was something to do with an alarm fault but the DAB dont have an alarm!

Any Ideas what this could be???

aw well, seems to have gone now anyway.

Not sure if this helps, but I have had a very high picthed noise a couple of times when I have been braking to a stop usualy at junctions where im about to turn or pulling into the drive.
I can be fully stopped and keep the break on, as soon as I take the break off the noise stops. So it’s not a mechincal noise.
Only done it 3 or 4 times in the 2.5k I have drove.


I have a 56 Plate DAB

Its probably the coolant pump firing. When you switch off the engine, if the coolant were static, it would likely boil in the engine. The pumps keep it moving so the combustion chamber is cooled down steadily.

my ibiza makes lots of random noices Iv given up caring unless I hear them all the time lol
