inlet manifold could be caked up with crap? how many miles on the clock 100k? clean MAF, air filter? I bet your loosing some boost as well somewhere - probably bottom hoses. poor fuel quality - try some shell diesel or additive. poor remap? 44mpg at 70mph isn't too far off

I'm going to clean inlet manifold in the next few days aswell as blank of egr at both egr and manifold end using blanking plates.

I sold the car. Couldn't live with the harshness of suspension ect.

As for issue I did get to bottom of it. One of the boost pipes, the one from turbo was slightly leaking as the lug had worn down. I replaced pipe and my mpg improved to around 50mpg

Get under car and take a look at all pipes from turbo and see if you can see any seeping oil.

Most likely the lugs on pipes are worn and seals need replacing. Take pipes off the have a look

there was oil seeping by the turbo and also by the intercooler?

when you take a look put the clip back on the female and check that the two "legs" are parallel before refitting----some castings are not as "clean" as they should be and there for contribute to early wear and tear on the male lugs as they don't get a full "bite"

I had a quick look when I saw the oil seeping out but it looked quite tight are there any tips or should I get a garage to do it?

Take the pipes off. This is something you should be able to do with Axle stands
