ibiza mk 3 wipers/ indicators stalks

Hi Guys and Girls,
New to the site, top one.
Does anyone out ther know how to remove the stalks. i've got a window wiper problem, they work on ther own and i then struggle to switch them off.
i've replaced two relays that have #19 and #100 on them but to no avail.
i am now trying to replace wiper stalk but haven't got the foggiest on how to remove them.

any help would mean my car hopefully won't fail it's MOT next week.

i think ypu have to remove the steering wheel first.

Yup, pop the wheel off & they're just there

cheers guys thanks for advice.
if i disconnect battery, disconnect all wires to airbag/ steering wheel will air bag be ok, i.e not go off in my face???? or is there a set procedure to do this??

sounds more like water ingress into multiplug/motor in scuttle panel

cheer guys for your help.
got a indicator stalk from scrappers, took steering wheel off etc.
removed everything, put stalk on.
works like a treat
SORTED!!!!!!!!!!!
