If insurance etc isnt a issue why arent you going the whole hog and treating yourself to a cupra. Completely different animal to the FR's. Drive one ;)

I can't find a cupra that's the right age, colour and miles, less than 6 months old with a few k on the clock. my local dealer has both petrol and diesel fr's that are ex demo's that fit the bill.

TBH I haven't really considered the cupra as I tend to be a bit conservative when it comes to the harsh rides. The no 1 reason for wanting to loose the ibiza is the crashy harsh ride even though it's stock.

The 2 leon fr's were a way better ride IMO and the handling was still more capable than me in the bends like the ibiza is.

the leon mk2 cupra rides better and smoother than the fr. Its got better suspension components.

spoke to irfan?

reviews say that the FR's handle better as they can handle the power better than the cupra's can handle theirs...which may be true, but personally would go for the cupra as the difference in price and insurance is minimal for overall performance and quality gains

Not sure what reviews you have been reading!

Read the Evo mag long termers write ups about the cupra. Im sure that will sway you!
