Ibiza SE -Wing mirror smashed whilst parked

Hi all,

I'm sure this is a pretty common issue that many will have come across before. Its not actually my car , the Mrs is on holiday and comes back in two days.

Someone has taken her driver side mirror clean off and I would Ideally like to be able to say A will cost ,X B will cost Y as soon as she gets in the door.

I've got some quotes on the way , But

Has anyone replaced one them selves ?
How easy are they to pick up 2nd hand ?
How easy are they to fit ?
Is there a difference between the SE and other models ?
Is there a difference between 3 and 5 door ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I cant upload the photos as I don't have posts, but the outer painted case is fine. The rest of it is smashed.

Right, I think that you need to look at the main assembly and you should find a VAG part number moulded into the plastic, use that when looking for a new mirror, and check here to see if that number has been superceded now:- http://etka.cc/
